Establishment of the Katyn Foundation for Jewish Families in Warsaw on 6 December 2021

The statutes of the Foundation were signed today in Warsaw by Luc Albinski, the founder, and President of the Foundation in the presence of Elizabeth Mikita, public notary. In attendance were two members of the Foundation’s Council, Tahel Goldsmith, and Aimee Goldsmith. Luc stated that he hoped the creation of the Foundation would contribute towards a greater recognition in Poland and in Israel of the scale of the sacrifice that Katyn represented for the Jewish community in Poland. In this national tragedy, more than 400 Polish-Jewish officers, prisoners of war of the Soviets, were murdered.
